I did some looking, and wonder if it could be in this book by Kay Parker. Contemporary Quilts: Original Patterns Based on the Drawings of M. C. Escher. I'd like to have this book, but not at the prices quoted.

The snail trail is also called monkey wrench. This name is new to me, but I like making the MW. Did one for my son yrs ago in brown and brown print. He loved it. I chose the pattern because he is in the auto business.

I don't know the name of the pattern, but your little quilt inspector is adorable!

She is half Yorkie and half Lasso Appso. And a 6 year old spoiled brat, but we would be lost without her.
