Default Looking for the name of a quilt or quilt pattern

    Hi Everyone,

I sure hope I can find the right words to describe what I'm looking for!

I've have seen several of these quilts in the past but never got the name of the quilt or the pattern to make it. It appears it is made up of lots of different small squares and these small square kind of blend together to form a design on the quilt. The most recent one I saw was a little different; in the quilt there was the traditional woven flower basket with this blended mass above it for the flowers. Of course now I can't find any pictures of what I'm talking about.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me to locate this method or pattern for the quilt.

The only thing I can think of is a watercolor quilt. Is that it? I love them but haven't made one.

That definitely sounds like the watercolor technique. One of my early quilts was this sort. There are a great many books (and probably youtube presentations) on the method. The class I took started with a lot of 2" squares and a piece of fairly light fusible interfacing that was printed with a 2" grid. Position the squares for the pattern you want (this generally takes several tries) then press them to the interfacing. sew seams in one direction. Clip to the seam at each cross line then sew the other way. I am glad I did it once, but probably won't do it again as I did not care for the feel of it.

Try typing in the title.... Flower basket watercolor quilt in the search box. It is a brown and yellow basket done by SusanSusan33 if it is the one I am thinking of.

Thank you love 2 sew, that is what I was looking for. Such a simple name and I've seen it several times; one would think they would remember it.

Could it be a Blooming 9 Patch?

It could also be a mosaic quilt, if the squares are very small.
