Default Looking for opinions on layout

Since we have been stuck at home for a while, I decided to make several table runners/toppers for both my daughter and daughter in law for Christmas. So far I have a Thanksgiving runner, a Patriotic Red White and Blue runner and I am now tackling Valentines day. I have been playing around in EQ and this is what I have come up with. It is based on Storm at Sea. The first whack was without the center "thingy" (lol). It looked far to empty so I added that detail into the center. I plan to put the hearts at the corners so I drew some lines to visualize that. What do you all think of the overall design? I think I am good - but what do you all think ??

The second. The first is too sparse for my taste.

I like the second version. It doesn't seem too busy at all. very nice idea

    I agree with this opinion.

I like your heart adaptation - wherever you decide to put it.

Both are lovely, but I am with you that the 2nd is busier and
almost seems to take away from the hearts.
TBH I like the simplicity of the 1st.

Chances are a special valentine bouquet will sit atop the centre spot
.... and then the work in the centre will not be on display. So, KIS!
