Half Square Triangles? You take two fabrics, lay one on top of other with right sides together. Draw a line through the center and sew 1/4 " away on both sides of line. Open and you have two squares.

A wonderful lady on here showed me how to do that it was oma66. she has helped me alot...but I was wanting to try and do something different to where you sew 3 pieces of material together and take t square template or etc and cut that square out and still end up with a with like 2 small triangles and one solid triangle I know I am not explaining this right but I got the ideal but not sure of how to do it thanks

Could it be the Twister pattern where you sew all of your squares together into one piece and then recut into squares?

or The Disappearing 9 patch?
