Question Looking for a picture or a pattern

I recently saw on a different site, a picture of a very scrappy quilt . The sender said that it was called rail fence. I have never seen a rail fence done like that. It appeared the squares were 2 1/2 inches. Not sure how many to a row or how many rows. The other part was a white strip. I'd guess 2 1/2 . If this makes sense to anyone and they can help me, I'd be grateful. I started sewing the squares together, but don't know how many, etc. That was really putting the cart before the horse. Thanks.
