DH and I just got back from a 5 week trip around America (well part of it). He was very good at stopping when we spotted a shop. The following are the ones I shopped at.
Stitching Nook, Richmond IN
Tree City Stitches, Greensburg, IN- a new shop that is very nice
Corner Quilts and Gifts, Wauseon, OH
Kathy's Fabric Trunk, DelNorte, CO
Beaver Mountain Quilts, Sourth Fork CO
Came home with a nice selection of fabric, patterns and tools. Now to find time to start sewing again.
I can recommend all of the above shops for their selection and for very nice staff.

You are so lucky. Maybe when my husband retires we can do a trip like that. Enjoy all of the new fabrics that you found on your way.

Its so fun to stop at shops while traveling. About 4 years ago hubby and I drove from Calif, Oregon, Washington (mainly to go to Buggy Barn Quilt Shop in Washington) and then to Seattle, and back down through Oregon. Think it was over 20 quilt shops we visited. Still haven't used all my stash from that trip. I have a wonderful hubby!
