bernina bsr not recognized
I just attached my bsr foot on my bernina 750QE and it does not seem to be recognized. It does not automatically appear on the screen with the options as usual. I have used it often, but have not been able to sew for the past 5 months. I just had the machine serviced and everything else is working wonderfully. But I am ready to quilt the top I just completed and I get nothing! Suggestions?

If you haven't done it already, turn off your machine, and try again.
Just leave it off for a few minutes, to give it a good chance to re-set.
Check your manual regarding the BSR.
Maybe in not using it for sometime, you have missed something in the BSR set-up?
Is the machine stitching OK in the regular mode?
If not, check that it is.
Otherwise, call your service person and ask for help while on the phone.
At least you will be able to tell them the things you tried.
If you need to take it in, ask if they would work on it while you waited.
Nothing more disappointing than to be ready to stitch ....
.... and having our machine not wanting to play!
Good Luck!

There was a time when I didn't sew for about 3 months and some functions didn't work for me either. Then it dawned on me that maybe it needed to reboot itself so I turned it on and walked away. That evening I went back in, turned it off, waited a few minutes and turned it back on. All was fine. My repairman says sometimes they do have to reboot.
