One of my 19 yr old DD's is transvering from the local Junior College and is off to business school. One out of 22 applicants accepted into the program. Over 2000 applied. I am one proud mama. So she is moving out and living at on campus apartments. I have made a her a quilt in the past but I know her heart is more with floral/romantic/shabby chic. I would really like to make her a special quilt to snuggle under when she feels far from home.

I have no large floral fabric and am not sure what patterns would be most suitable.

I you know of any kits, fabric lines or patterns that are suitable I would love to hear. If you made any such quilt could you post a picture please? Or if you have anything for sale FQ or significant yardage of a line that is older and fits this description I would be interested.

Anyone? Please? I can see you are reading this. LOL Any thoughts or ideas. This is out of my comfort zone. Help!

There's a few on this page that might work. My favorite is the Michael Miller Ginger Blossom near the bottom of the page.

I made this quilt for my DD for her return from college. It is a jelly roll set made with an online tutorial. She loves it & it gave her room a whole new look & feel. Good luck to your daughter!

Thank you all for the links and the picture. Really pretty quilt and cute pattern. I like some of the fabrics but she likes them more subdued. Think the time of Moda Paris Flea Market. She likes roses/flowers/paisley/stripe and off white. That is why I thought maybe if some one has something left or did not use I'd be open to buying the fabric or if there is a line like that with that faded look.
Thanks! Please keep them coming.

You may want to try shabbyfabrics.com - they have beautiful soft prints, great patterns along with some kits. Congratulations to your daughter. I pray she enjoys school and her new quilt!

That's gorgeous fabric. Turning Twenty is a good pattern for fq's and would look great in those fabrics.
