I like the rule-of-thumb; quilt every fist size. Try counted cross stitch design by hand with a multi-color metalic thread (usually for embrodery machines, but I have had good results with it.

I love all the warm fuzzy feedback I'm getting. I will think of it often when I get to snuggle under the finished project. Thank you all for your kind words and advice. Sometimes, all it really takes is another pair of eyes. 8-)

I am pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and willingness of board members to share their expertise. I'm sorry I didn't start following along sooner. And, the compliments inspire me to do more (and post more pictures --- LOL!) :lol:
