My sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your cousin.

I'm glad that your top was found amongst her things and that now you can complete your room.
I agree with what was said previously that quilters appreciate the importance of the top.

First of all I am sorry for your loss. But, I am happy that you have your quilt top back where it belongs.

So glad you are getting your top back. I believe I also did the blocks you are talking about, more like 50 years ago. Will you post pictures ?

Okay, I'm going to try -- I promised I would post pictures -- I've tried three times -- but never let it be said I didn't persevere.

Okay, I got them this time -- somehow, when they were previously re-sized, the small format wasn't saved. That's okay, I've learned how to perform this task!

I had sent it to my cousin in Oklahoma (who had a quilt shop). She was going to quilt it for me. However, she became very ill and passed away December 17. No one knew where my quilt top was -- my cousin became quite a "hoarder" and the quilt top was well hidden. I sadly had almost accepted that the quilt top was permanently lost. This is the top for which I had made a matching bed skirt, and pinch-pleated drapes, with a pinch-pleated valance for a complete re-do of one of the bedrooms in our house. Losing the top was a real blow!

Well, I spoke with my son's cousin (who is handling wrap-up of my cousin's estate) tonight and she tells me she's found the quilt-top (and the backing I had also sent) and is returning it to me! I am really Happy that the lost is found! And, yes, I was shouting with joy! Woo Hoo!
Did you by chance have a picture of the quilt top? If you have one, we would love to see it.

Well, if I had read all the way to the end of the postings, I would have seen your pictures! They truly are lovely.

Wonderful! Good thing that they kept your quilt top in mind while sorting through your cousin's belongings. What a lucky recovery.
