Default Lots of firsts in this Topper

Not finished yet but I'm working on it! I decided to make a quilt without a pattern which was quite fun! I had never made a piano border before and enjoyed that process! I usually do machine applique but decided to try fussy cutting flowers out of flower fabric and adding leaves. I learned how to use my bias tape maker which has hung in my sewing room for several years! LOL! After I finish doing applique stitching on the flowers and leaves, I'll be ready to make my sandwich. It was fun trying new things! If you have any ideas on how to free motion the hourglass blocks, I'd be most appreciative!

Pretty top! I would SITD the sashing first. I would then stitch a flower similar to the applique ones in the border in the triangle squares.

Wow that is just beautiful!!! Not good at free motion quilting, I'm sure others will help with that!

You did a fabulous job!!!
I have a question about your piano key border- I've always wondered how you get them uniform all the way. Do you take the length and divide? I want to do one but have no idea how.
Love your quilt.

What a pretty quilt! I would start in the center of each block and quilt a petal coming out onto each triangle. No need to be accurate, just loop up into the triangle and back to the center on each one.
