Sew baby sew and don't forget to stop for a cuppa once in a while. I miss the UK. Your sewing room will be beautiful!

How great that he is doing that for you! I/m from Bristol, TN, and your mayor was a special guest here a couple of years ago. Happy quilting in your new room.

My sewing area has morfed over time
With each child and business venture it changes.
Before kids and many moves ago it was an extra room with a bulky computer in the corner for my husband. As time has past we seem to be fitting more into that space.
Our dining room has turned into an office for us and a study pod for the kids. In the corner is a desk with my sewing machine and another for our daughter. When we decided to pursue refurbishing vintage machines as a hobby/business my husband gutted my main storage area of anything he though irrelavant and it is somewhere in the garage. the shelves are now lined with sewing machines etc. His office in the basement has been transformed into our primary work hub for the machines. I have the oppurtunity to sew daily, but never on my own machine except when the pile of kids jeans needing knees mended overflows and the kids can rigtfully fuse they have nothing to wear.

What a sweet guy! My hubby built me a house-- and upstairs he made my sewing room with a huge closet for all my stuff.
