I was at a Tractor show and purchased a Singer Fashion Mate sewing machine. It was really cheap, but I thought I could use it for workshops and leave my $$$ one at home. It is a portable and light. The seller had lost the manual with it. Said she sold it because she just doesn't use it. It runs, but I am having difficulty with the thread tension. I am also not sure which bobbin is correct. Does anyone have any ideas or knowlege of this brand?

Not sure if this will help or not. If not then just google for there are lots of places that come up to read on this machine.

My DIL just bought a Singer 237 Fashion Mate. We figured out it takes a class 15 bobbin. Also, her tension adjustment had been taken off and put back on incorrectly.
But for $8, it's sews like champ!

Check the classifieds here. I think I saw an ad this morning of someone selling a Singer Fashion Mate manual.
