I agree with above -- especially quiltnutt. Changing the tension will stop the dots -- but I HATE changing them. And I just tried to center the seam on the backing...didn't work..... Would be especially hard to center blocks.

I think this answer hits the nail on the head- it's the uneven tension that pulls one thread to show on the other side (that is true of any sewing machine), and you would have to play with adjusting it top or bottom (or both) to get it just perfect. You might want to settle with dots on the back rather than the front if you can't get it centered.
