What is and how do you paper piece?

I am new to quilting. I have learned so much from this site and love it. I have never paper pieced. Could someone help or refer me to a tutorial. Thanks so much I love you all and you show me so much

You sew your block onto a paper with the block pieces printed on it.

There are 2 kinds of paper piecing
1. as amma described
2. English paper piecing

Quilter's Cache and Carol Doak both have good tutorials on paper piecing also, in addition to the tutes on board. It's really quite easy, but it seems it's one of those things that you either love it or hate it. I love it.
