I tried the clear thread and it didn't work any better I can still see the bobbin color on the top. I tried putting it in the bobbin, what a mess.. I think it was wound to tight. so I still don't know how to quilt this quilt.. I may have to just tie it off.. and forget about the quilting design.

I find the invisible seems to be stiffer and makes the quilt feel harder.

I found that if my top spool was lying down instead of standing up I had better tension, did you adjust the screw in your bobbin shuttle for bobbin tension, I have a Phaff 2048. :?:
