Machine Quilting with a Walking Foot
Has anyone taken Jackie Gering's class on machine quilting with a walking foot on Craftsy? I'm considering taking this class but would like some input from others that may have taken the class. Thanks.

I downloaded the class and watch it in spare moments.
I was impressed with what she does and she does have some good ideas.
The only downside for me is that I use a Pfaff machine and don't have a separate walking foot. But I can use her suggestions by using the bar that helps keep stitching lines evenly separated.

I do straight line quilting a lot. I like the large stipple to do meadering with the darning foot best. I am doing straight line now for charity quilts. I don't take lessons, too much time. I work full time and only have time for quilt making.

I do a lot of straight line quilting on my old Pfaff - about 25 years old, and I just use the regular sewing foot. Since it has the built in IDT, I don't have any problem at all. Here is an excellent website for straight line quilting: http://blog.petitdesignco.com

NO because I took a class from Harriet Hargrave and learned mostly everything about FMQ from her. Is there much to be learned? Isn't there a free u-tube video? I learn in the olden days when there were NO u-tube videos or online classes.

You really can't lose with a Craftsy class. If you're not satisfied, they will refund your money. I'm still really cautious about signing up for anything, but occasionally it turns out that the class just doesn't cover what you thought it did.
