My Pfaff is acting up and I'm thinking of trading it in on a newer machine with a larger embroidery area. (my machine is fixable but I really want the larger hoop area so this is a good excuse)....
I'm looking at Janome 11000SE, Babylock Ellisimo, or the newest Pfaff Creative Vision. (I've already tested the Pfaff Creative, and I'm going to see the Janome and Babylock today).
Does anyone have one of these and would you recommend it or not, and why?
Thanks-

I have a Janome 6600 and I love it! Feet and accessories are far less expensive than other brands. the 11000 comes with just about every foot you would ever need! ;)

I looked at both the 11000SE and the Ellisimo. I chose the Ellisimo. I preferred the smaller footprint of the Janome but felt that the Ellisimo technology was several years ahead of the Janome. Such as the camera and the user interface, which I felt was more intuitive.

Janome is coming out with a new machine this fall and the technology may now be the newest, but I didn't want to wait on my purchase.

Pricewise, the Ellisimo is more but I was able to negotiate a good deal with the upgrade and was OK with price.

Have fun searching! Sew on both and then decide.

I have the Pfaff Creative Vision 5.5 and LOVE it. Traded in a 2144. More user friendly. Able to do adjustments right on the screen. (Resize and change stitch count)and so much more. Great machine!!

Me too. I love the embroidery part of it since my other Pfaff is a 2046.

You can get floor models or whatever they use at a quilt show for a better discount.

I love my Pfaff C.V. 5.5 and I also have the Brother Duetta (that is a real workhorse)
Love them both.

I own a Husqvarna Viking Designer SE and love it, BUT I have used two of the machines you are considering. I have used the Pfaff Creative and the Babylock Ellisimo.

Of these two, I would choose the Babylock Ellisimo, hands down. I sews and embroiders like a dream and is very user friendly...it hums.

The Pfaff isn't what it used to be in my opinion. It is noisy, vibrates, and is not at all user friendly when it comes to embroidery. I am not trying to offend Pfaff owners. I just think the older Pfaffs are better than the current model.

Check them out carefully and get the perfect machine for you. ;)
