I bought this a few months ago and didn't use it until recently. It worked easy as pie. What I really like about it, no iron needed, no batteries, no charging. I got size for 2 1/2" strips. I like when a new tool is worth having.

So it's just a mechanical creasing tool? Looks like you still have to carefully match the cut edges every few inches as you draw the strip through the roller, so all it essentially does is crease the seam, vs using an iron to press it.

I do love a gizmo. I don't find pressing all that hard. I would give this a pass. I have also tried not pressing binding. For me I prefer pressing.

Just my opinion but I can press binding just as quick without the gizmo. Then again, I’m not a gadget person in my sewing room or kitchen. Just me.

I'd have to pass on this gizmo also. Really don't see where it would save me any time in making my binding, something I've never minded doing in the first place. But everyone likes different things, if you are happy with it then I'm happy you found it useful.

The fabric strip goes evenly in it much better than I expected, and I wasn't all that careful about feeding it through. Not having to use the iron to get a sharp crease is what I like about it.. it wasn't expensive so I thought I'd give it a try. My quilting friend said it was hard to find one to buy now. it's sold out everywhere.

Good timing for your review!

I'd never heard of this notion until yesterday, when i saw it in a video online. Looked intriguing. It does also come in a 2-1/4" strip size, which is what I would get if I was buying one. A couple of years ago, I bought the silicone mat that has slits in it, feed fabric in, set iron on top, and just keep pulling the strip. If I didn't already have that, I'd definitely be looking closer at the Magic Binding Tool.

I also don't find pressing my binding all that hard. I make mine during the time I'm cutting out all my fabrics so I know I have enough for the binding at the end. Then once pressed I grab an empty TP roll and roll it onto it and mark which quilt it goes to. Right now I have 18 bindings in a plastic container waiting to be put on their quilt once it's been quilted so that extra gizmo wouldn't be enough for me either. But I do like new gadgets but I'm trying to wean myself off from buying every new gadget and then it sits on the side lines forever, never to be used.

Years ago someone on the board said that she doesn't press her binding. I tried it that way, liked it, and have never pressed another binding.

It doesn't look like it keeps a crisp fold in the binding, so by the time you go to put it on, it seems to be just a loose fold. Usually I fold and press my binding and or sashing strips by hand without a gizmo.
