Hi! There is a Marden's in Ellsworth, about 18 miles from here. They have a lot of fabrics also.

We are celebrating our 47th anniversary in November!

I live in Massachusetts, just a short 1hr. 20 mins. from the Sanford Marden's! We make a group car trip frequently and have introduced many others to this quilt fabric bonanza - Kathy's Quilt Shop in Sanford is a must see place too for any additional must haves.
Also visited the new shop in Bar Harbor in June - a great addition to the area!

You are right about the new quilt shop in Bar Harbor. It is called Fabrications. Right in town across from the P.O. She is so very kind, pleasant, patient and helpful. She also will try to find anything you need that she doesn't have in the shop!

I think she will go far with this shop. She also carries scrapbooking materials in another room there.

I love her selection of magazines and books also. I believe she will be my main source, especially in the winter.

Yea! Glad to hear there is a shop on MDI. Will look to forward visiting it when I next visit Bar Harbor. I will also have to check out this Marden's. I assume there are several throughout Maine. Do they have a website?
