same here...as they get smaller they either go into a crumb bin or a strip bin for scrappy quilt projects.

I used to cut my scraps into standard sizes, 2.5, 3.5,6.5 and 10 but found that I seldom used them except for the 2.5s. Most of those cut pieces are still sitting in their beautifully labeled boxes. Because I am obsessed with 2.5 squares, I cut strips of any length when the scrap is close to that width. I use many, many of them. I used to cut 2.5 squares but started to find so many patterns that needed 2.5 but longer length. In the end, it always depends on how you use smaller pieces. I don't cut any yardage into precut sizes.

I keep my scraps in a laundry basket or two, then in January I cut them into 2 1/2” Strips and make jelly rolls by colors. I use these to make donation quilts. I want to make a quilt using 1 1/2” squares so I have been cutting smaller pieces as I work on other quilts. I also cut 1 1/2” strips for future use.

I make mainly scrap quilts, so I cut my small pieces 2.5" wide. I find I can always use this width. Hope this helps

I cut scraps into 2.5 " strips, and larger scraps into 5" squares. Otherwise they are tossed into a flat rate box and once full. I offer to mail them to someone who will use them.

I only use scraps for pre-cuts. The smallest square I make is 2 1/2" squares. The smallest pieces I make are for Double Wedding ring quilts. I use templates for those small pieces. As pieces get larger I use my Accuquilt to make different size squares. I have mostly 5" square and 6 1/2" squares

While making larger quilts from 5 inch blocks I also cut 2 inch strips, 1.5 inch strips and 1.25 inch strips. Didn's cut as much of these strips out of my CW shirtings. I had plenty of strips ready to sew when I felt like sewing. These are quilt tops from 2 inch strips

ppquilter- your quilts are beautiful. I maybe should re-think getting rid of scraps. I rarely save them. They usually go to Goodwill or someplace like that.
I love scrap quilts but I don't like keeping scraps. I know- it makes no sense
