Marathon Sewing Room Cleanup- Day 3!
My gosh, talk about opening a can of worms!
I have way too much of everything.
The first and second days I felt awful- the guilt - not using everything, plans that never materialized on and on.
But today I got back to it and realized that it doesn't matter. It's my happy place and even if I didn't use every single thing oh well, right?
Now that it's about 75% cleaned up I'm going to finish it day by day and I'm not going to quit until all surfaces, cupboards, dresser, shelves etc are done! I don't think I've done a thorough job like this in years, maybe never actually.
I've been harping for months about how messy my room was. Well I've finally tackled it. And listened to 2 books so far in the process
Happy New Year, everyone!!

Susie, no guilt allowed in our happy place! Everyone needs a place to find joy, peace and beauty, all while making something that brings so much comfort and love to family and others. Your endeavors will be so worth your effort, and you will find new inspiration going through your treasures. I find cleaning and organizing physically also cleans and organizes my mind as well and allows for a more positive mindset. Keep up the awesome progress!

I agree...I often feel the need to clean something (even if it’s a closet or kitchen cabinets) and clean sewing room allows me to feel more productive and energized.

SusieQ, thanks for the inspiration, today is day one of my cleaning, purging and donating. My sewing room used to be my happy place but now it is just a bunch of piles here and there. It's hard to get inspired in there right now. I plan on taking everything out and going through all of it. Hubby is on a golf trip for a few days, so I don't need to worry about a mess, don't need to cook, etc.

Sharon, I love your Roosevelt quote! Who would have thought of the things I accomplished since a student at NIU.
Suzie Q, LOVE the fact that you listened to books while working on your sewing room. You got a twofer.
