I saw a mariners compass that was not paper pieced, the points were folded, I'd like to find the pattern. Any one know what I'm talking about?

Sounds like a Cheryl Phillips /WedgeWorks pattern - the 3D Mariners Compass using her folded fabric technique.

    One of her books:

    And a video:

with some very lively music showing how the 3D effect is created.

    And here's her website:

Do keep in mind that the book does include the set of templates.

I just put one link in above for the 1999 book.

However, her earlier book (1997) - which also includes a template -

is much more reasonable, if you're still interested. ;-)

Keep on eye on the sales here.

Just like some people don't know when they're overpaying, others don't know or realize the value of what they're selling.
