Default Wall hanging/table topper ideas for farmhouse style home

I am contemplating making a wall hanging/table topper for my very first real estate clients. They are going to remodel the home with pale gray/white walls and cabinets and wood look tile throughout. She loves the whole farmhouse style, barn doors, the works.

So I am wanting to see some pics of what y'all have done with that theme...faded blues, gray, white, faded red, etc. I need to make this fairly quickly as we are set to close on the home at the end of October and I want to have my gift set up for them when I give them the keys. Shouldn't take long once I decide on pattern and fabric...that always seems to take longer than actually making the quilt!

My sister's style is similar to what you mention however with primitive added. When I made her a house warming quilt gift I checked out Pinterest by plugging in her style and got some ideas. Hope this helps.

I have checked Pinterest, but when I put in farmhouse style quilts, most of what comes up is commercially available bedspreads. Maybe some different search terms would help...

Moda has a great Farmhouse panel and co-ordinating fabrics.

I think Jo Morton or Kim Diehl has a book out that is called "Farmhouse Blocks". I am not real sure of the name of the book-sorry but these two authors do have some great ideas but they may be too primitive of ideas for you. Good luck in your search.

I started to make my daughter a table runner in blues, reds, and grays because she had just remodeled her kitchen/dining area. I had thought that her cupboards were dark navy and her small appliances are red, but after visiting her I realized that her cupboards were gray, not navy. Here's a picture of the first 2 blocks I started with. On one of the blocks I accidentally sewed a navy piece wrong side up. I started to rip it out but then decided that I kind of liked it and finished the block with half of the red and gray pieces wrong side up. I think it gives the block a more rustic/primitive look . I'm going to use these blocks to make throw pillow covers instead. The following picture is the finished table runner and mug rugs that I made using white, red, and gray fabrics instead of the white red and blue fabrics I was going to use. I'll be giving them to my daughter for her birthday on Friday.
