Remember, the Frixon pens disappear when heated but the lines reappear when cooled. Not good if traveling in a colder climate.

You can try them: heat the fabric with an iron after using then put in the freezer and watch the lines reappear.

I want whatever I use to disappear after I wash the quilt.

I use a #2 soft lead mechanical pencil. Never needs sharpening, always comes out of any fabric I've used it on. Also have the white Bohn for those really dark colors that you just can't see anything but white. So far haven't had an issue with that either.

Glad that I live in the desert! I also understand that the fabric has to get freezing cold before they re appear

Chaco liner! Goes on easy, very bright colors, easy to see. Washes right out. Love them!

I used Frixon pens to mark lines for embroidery on green and purple Kona. After ironing the fabric looked bleached. I tossed them because obviously the chemicals might hurt fabrics.

I like the frixon pens too. I don't think I'll ever be putting my quilts in the freezer.
