I want to make my nephew a quilt to go to Bible College with, and want to use a jelly roll if possible.

Any suggestions for a line of fabric that is mainly blues, and is masculine?

I have seen several lines, but they are all scrolly, flowery and feminine looking.

I don't want alot of paisley, etc.

Batiks are great! Search here to see quite a variety to choose from. If you don't want batiks, you can find many blenders/tonals, geometric, etc.

Try Civil War repros. They are not frilly and blue is a common color of the period.

Some of the Bali Pops fabrics would be wonderful for this!

If you've got a Hancocks nearby they have their batik jelly rolls on a half price sale today. I just bought 3 for $12 each.

I agree with the batiks, they are very neutral :D:D:D

Can you contact his mom and see if she has any of his old clothing that could be incorporated into this. That could be a really neat surprise for him.
