Math Help Please? (Converting a 6" block pattern into a 12" pattern)

I hope you don't mind me asking for math help! I found this gorgeous block pattern at Quilter's Cache and I want to make it for a wedding present (that's due this coming saturday).

I've made a few of the 6" blocks, and I want to make some 12" blocks in the same pattern, but everytime I try to figure out the math, I mess it up royally (like not even close) and I don't want to waste any more fabric.
Can anyone help? Even if you just fix the "supplies list" on page two I should be okay from there. =)

It seems to me that you just need to double everything. Here's a picture on a 1" grid. Don't forget to add 1/2 inch to everything for your two seam allowances. So, blocks 1 & 2 will be 6-1/2 x 2-1/2, block 3 will be 4-1/2 x 2-1/2 and the center will be 4-1/2 x 4-1/2.

lol -- so, the plan was to make the quilt with half 12" blocks and half 6" blocks combined to make 12" blocks. So, it's just a throw - with a total of 12 blocks. Great. So I need double the number of 6" blocks to make the big block sets. So I cut out 12 sets of stuff for the 6" blocks.
WRONG -- FOUR 6" blocks make a 12" block. duh.
why is math not my friend...
