Default Mechanical sewing machine

Hi, I am looking for a mechanical sewing machine with a speed regulator on it. Is there a machine that you can recommend?

I have Juki 2200 QVP Mini (close relation of the TL 2010). It's a basic straight stitch mechanical machine with speed regulation and thread cutter. I've had mine for about 5 years now. I mostly FMQ and occasionally walking foot quilt on it. It has a large throat space so bigger quilts are a breeze. The longer I have this machine, the more I like it.

I have the Juki TL2010Q and it's mechanical and has a speed regulator, thread cutter, knee lift etc. Great machine.

I've had the TL2010Q for about 8 years now. I've used it mainly for FMQ quilting. It's a GREAT machine! I have to admit that I've never mastered the needle threader .... Over the years, I've used many different threads, with little or no tension adjustments. These days I use Glide 40 wt mainly. You can't go wrong with this machine!

I am not sure what you mean by speed regulator. I just control the speed of my machine by my foot pedal most of the time. I do have stitch regulation built in to the table my Handi Quilter Sweet 16 now sits in. I have the option of a mode where the stitching starts when I move the fabric, but I generally run in the mode where my foot controls the speed.

I have the Janome hd9. Hands down, top choice. Check out comparison on you tube. Several reviewers chose Janome Hd9 over Juki for good reasons.
MA Couture crafting has a youtube "why I purchased janome hd9 over Juki TL2010."
I love the larger bobbin, 1600 spm, pedal, and other features. Best wishes on your quest.

Were any of the reviewers paid? And what was the criteria that was used?

no, not paid ads. Comparisons were feature specific.

Can you post a link? I'd like to see it. The Janome is quite a bit more money. It looks like almost twice as much. I'd like to see what makes it worth that much more.
