Men's Shirts
#1
I went to the thrift store today and while I was looking around I spotted some beautiful hawaiian print men's shirts. Although I didn't buy any, I thought they would be beautiful in a large print quilt. Has anyone made one like this? If you have, could you share a picture please?

There was a post awhile back where someone made a great quilt out of Hawaain Shirts. She collected them from yard sales and thrift stores. Since I read that post I have started also to collect them. It was a great quilt. I will try to find the post.

I saved the picture of the quilt that was posted because I want to make one just like it. But I did not save the post. Maybe the person who created the quilt will post. If not then maybe I can post the picture. It is beautiful.

I cut up my late husbands shirts, but I haven't made the quilt yet. I thought I was ready, but it will be longer before I am ready to make it.[/quote]

Me also. I still have the loud shirts my late DH and I bought in Hawaii, finally cut them up but can't yet force myself to do some sewing on them. I take them out every now and then, almost 4 years but I'm still not ready.

After he died 4 years ago, my sweet aunt finally collected her DH's Appalachian Trail shirts and gave them to a friend to make into a t-shirt quilt for her. The friend did a remarkable job and now my aunt loves saying how she sleeps with her DH every night.
