How about a silicone potholder? I got mine at the dollar store, but they are available everywhere. I got the idea from my actual iron holder that is shaped like an iron. You could even cut it the shape of your iron if you like. Silicone will not burn or melt.

I, too, simply use a coffee mug and stick it in there. Was too easy a solution to do anything different.

Why not look fit the kind of stand used for holding a soldering iron. Man's field I know, but we can steal their ideas if we want to

I made a glue gun holder at craft camp that I use. It has two wood pegs that hold the iron over a ceramic tile glued to a wooden base. It works great.

I don't have that mini iron, but I used one at a workshop a while ago. The biggest problem for me was that the iron is light compared to the cord, so it didn't always stay sitting in its holder (like the one from Connecting Threads). Someone else had a big beer stein that she had picked up at Value Village, and put hers in there. It was heavy enough that the iron couldn't tip it over, and tall enough that it couldn't be knocked out. If I got an iron like this, that is what I would use.

I was having some tile work done in my house and kept a piece of the tile that was in the trash. I Gorilla Glued the Clover holder onto the tile and will glue some felt onto the back of the tile. Do you think this will work well?
