Default Minkee

I have backed several quilts with minkee fabric. My latest quilt---which has had one problem after another--the minkee is pulling through the quilt top. The back is black and the front it white!

I have read online that one quilter used a smaller needle. I am going to try that tomorrow. I hope it helps.

Has anyone experienced this?

I have used minky, but not that striking of a color difference. I used grey minky with blue flannel and then red minky back on multicolor front.. I never noticed the minky coming to the front. Are you using batting? I did use batting....sorry I don't have any suggestions

I just had this happen. Rust minky on the back , white on the front. I always use minky on my baby quilts but I've never used white on the front. I suspect it has happened in the past but was noticeable due to less contrast of the colors. I'm going to get a stiff tooth brush and see if I can pull the threads back into place from the backside. Not happy with this quilt.

My long armer always uses thread to match the minkee so you don't have the pull through.

Yes, I've had this problem. But it goes away after the quilt is washed.

I've had this problem only when my needle got dull after hours of quilting. With a new needle no more minky on the front side of my quilt.
