I have been trying to find out how many quilts they made for the challenge for the Quilts of Valor that Moda had. Does anyone know?

they got over 15,000 blocks. i don't have an official word on it, but they use 18 blocks per quilt. so that works out to a potential of 833 quilts!

The goal was 100 quilts by Flag Day. They got so many more and will be making quilts for awhile. I understand that they send the fabric out to volunteers to be made into quilts.

After my experience with the Military Barracks Quilt Project here last fall, I knew when I read Moda's first projection that they were WAY off base expecting to create only 100 quilts! I mean, I'll bet they could have done that with just this board's participation, LOL, much less all across the nation!!

Sure wish I still shopped at United Notions weekly for my store so I could hear the inside info on the project. :D
