Buying them, but arriving home with them is the best. I spread them out, and dream, dream, dream.

I know this is going to sound like I can't make a decision, but I love each thing when I do it. I love the buying part when I am buying and I like the cutting part when I get to that. I love deciding on a pattern, and stitching, and even putting on the label. Each one at it's own time.

A month ago I would have said "buying" without a doubt. But now that I'm working on piecing log cabin blocks on muslin, the moment that I turn over the block to see the completed design, I have to admit it is a pretty happy moment. Even after having completed 33 blocks. Only 36 more to go. Looks like a lot of 'happy moments' ahead for me!

I will have to say working with it - I LOVE to quilt but am not so great at choosing fabrics - never sure of myself. I'd much rather someone help me choose and then I go to town on the construction.

Well,
(1)...I love to buy when the purse allows it...
(2)...I enjoy having the fabrics in my own closet to do
what I want with them,
when I want to do it
and only IF I want to do it..and
(3)...I really enjoy working with them and have such great
pleasure viewing them when they have turned into my work of art.

Notice I said, my work of art as someone else might not think of my work as works of art........but to me, they are and I love them.

So, I guess that I must admit that I enjoy all three phases of this FUN adventure...

well, one look at my stash, compared to finished projects, and the buying must win by a nose, or a wallet,...LOL! :D
I do enjoy the process of piecing immensely, it's just all the phsicalities of cutting and math, before that, that slow me down.
I read somewhere that this person, cuts out whole projects and puts in a big zip loc, and then goes to shelf and pics one, and gets to work.
Wish I was that hmmm....what would you call that?
I consider it all fun, just some, funner, than others

This is a hard question, but I agree with others who have said that where ever they are in a project is what they like best. The MOST fun is sharing a completed project with others! I LOVE Show N Tell!

I, too, am a lost cause, especially when it comes to buying fabric! all someone has to do is point me in the direction of a bolt they know I'll fall for...they know I'm 'easy'!
