I've been hoping to make a special quilt with this pattern, when the right fabric came along, for 15 years. Now I'm disappointed. Should I leave all of the cream? Or would it help to put more black in? I want to showcase this fabulous fabric. I'd appreciate your suggestions.

I like the black. It pops the colors and else the big creme Xs predominate and draw the eye.
