Most complicated block you ever made

the middle block of Dear Jane in 1999, the double star. I made it twice the first one was so awful, the second took better than 8 hours. A lot of that time was banging my head I'm sure. It doesn't look hard now, as complicated blocks are my wheelhouse go-tos.

The most difficult block for me was a Mariners Compass varient, I think it was named Brilliant Star and I can't recall the designer's name. I hand pieced that block and used it for a center in a SAHRR (stay-at-home-round-robin).

Feathered Star. I don't have a pic of the one I made, and it was a "one and done" for me! The block itself is gorgeous, but I hated trying to construct it. Maybe all these years later I'd give it another try as a paper-pieced block.
