I started the process of moving my sewing room down to the basement today. I started pulling stuff out of ONE closet. I go tell my fiance I need to go to Walmart for some clear shoeboxes so he goes to take a look and about fell over! "Where did you have all this!, you give packrat a whole new meaning!" he says...then, "are you sure the basement is big enough?"....men!

Tell me about it :D :D
The other day I decided to straighten up my room and move my firniture around. Wow. wow was I surprised with all I found. It took almost 2 1/2 days to clean up, fold and re- arrange. You are right where did all this come from
Good luck post pics when you finish!!!
When are you going to Dallas? What store were you going to visit?
I live in San Antonio let me know if you come this way :D :D :D :D

Tell him he should be happy you don't have as much as I do. I have 7 of the pattern cabinets, full of fabric, about 2 dozen of the large plastic totes, smallest of them are 68 qt. size, plus about a dozen big plastic garbage bags full of scraps and misc., and a few cardboard boxes. This is just for the fabric.LOL

I think he's really afraid that once I have everything down there he'll never see me again :) Myself, I think it's healthy to have a space of your own you can go to for both halfs of the couple. He has his "man-cave" in the livingroom and I'll have my sewing space in the basement.

The tables you have is what I use for my sewing/cutting. Love my table. Plus, it can double as a pinning table. Clamps fit perfectly on the edges to hold fabric down.
You need to post once you have everything all done again.
I would LOVE to post a picture of my before and after for my room, but I am REALLY embarrassed for it at the moment. It's awful. Need to get in there and get it done.
But, isn't it funny what we find when we clean? lol

apparently I found my lunch of cottage cheese when I took the pictures lol. Here is my favorite tool. I got it at a hardware store. There's storage on top, then underneath there's a lift out tray with more storage underneath. That whole section lifts off for a big enough space for my sewing machine. It's got a handle and wheels for mobility.
