Muslin as binding?
I am going to be machine quilting for a client. It is a pieced flannel top and a flannel back. The color of natural muslin would work. Would muslin work as binding for this? Or would that be a bad idea?

Yeah, what she said. Even a double fold binding of muslin would be very questionable, imho. I don't think the quality is at all the same as the original muslins of the past.

Of course you can do what ever you like! But, I don't think that muslin is as sturdy as you would like a binding to be. How about finding a muslin colored flannel? I usually go a bit darker on the binding as it gets dirty faster than the rest of the quilt. Be sure to post a picture, you know we love to see what everyone is making!
