It works for me, kind of like promising a dessert to a kid as soon as they eat all their vegetables.
 Already did that! Great minds must think alike! The bargello that is my avatar was a wedding project I did while I took that month off. So, I promised myself that if I could finish these sides then I would make myself one. I have all the fabric and it's sitting right by my ironing board but I won't let myself touch those nice, cool colors until I finish these sides of black, white and red.

I know what you mean. I made my dad and sis the same quilt. I had no problem finishing dads but my sis quilt is still on the frame. I need to force my self to finish it.

I'm heading into the sewing room in an hour and hopefully finishing it today! I need to put the binding on before I finish the echo quilting so I'm thinking that I'll be back on here around dinner time!

I DID IT!!!!! I finished quilting and binding both of the side projects!! They still need to have the binding hand stitched down but I find those tasks relaxing and save them for my Thursday night quilting group. I posted the pics in a separate topic: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-61187-1.htm#1491327
