I just love this stuff!
But noticed that it went up considerably this year! Last year it was only $3.95!

Thanks for this. I have a tough time finding a good paper for PP, and I hate spending the bucks for the specialty paper in quilt shops for it. Even at this price at Office Depot, it's a huge bargain compared to the quilt shop PP paper. Thanks again.

There is a printer near me that uses the big rolls of newsprint. (I had the template of my pattern printed by them.) I asked them if I could buy a bit of the paper, and they GAVE me the end of a roll with many, many yards of paper on it. It's left over from a printing job, and it's less than they want to load on their printers because of the time for setup. They routinely give these rolls to teachers and crafters who want them. It keeps them from going to the landfills.

The newspapers usually will give the end rolls - they call them stubs I believe - to anyone who asks. Just call ahead to make sure :)
My local newspaper gave me several end rolls. I don't use it often but I do have it. I got it for my pcquilter so that I could try out the designs without using thread.

I am new to this site and I have already learned something. I have read a lot of articles that mention Paper Pieceing but none of them explained (clear enough for me) what it was....I just read on one of your board just exactly how to do it and showed pics....wonderful...thanks so much!

Well, even though the price has gone up, it would be cheaper than what I decided to try, which was scribble pads from the dollar store. I think 30 sheets of that was $1, and a ream will go a WHOLE lot further.

Yes but just like Joann's they give coupons all the time. Raise the price and then give a coupon. Anyway, great idea. I buy my Elmer's Glue All for binding in a double tip end from them. Looks like a fat marker.

I own a small hair salon and have discovered that the paper we put on our wax table works great for paper piecing. It comes on a roll, not sure how much, but at least 24" wide, and the roll is around $8.00 will make many quilts.
