Well, this was my first wallhanging, so who wants to play "who can spy the most mistakes" LOL, just kidding. It turned out very well. Just a few minor things, nothing that couldn't be fixed! This is for my mom, she loves Americana things. I started this in May to make for Mother's day and then I ended up making her a purse instead. I worked on it for about a day and then put it away and just got it back out a few days ago and put it all together! She loved it! I appliqued the golden stars on and quilted stars in the white stripes and stripes in the red stripes (stars and stripes)

It works fine now. I love that bandana fabric used as the red stripes. Very homey.

Folk art at its finest! Great job. I bet it would go for big bucks in a shop. Not that your mom would ever let it go...

That's as beautifully Americana as you can get! I love it Heather. And she's going to be so happy when she gets it. :)

You should be proud of yourself! That looks so nice! I have a hard time with choosing fabric and a flag type thing I did used all straight color. :( . Maybe I can take this as a lesson from you one day. :D

I love it!!! it has less mistakes than mine, so you are doing great. They are not really mistakes, they are variances from the original plans!!!!!! No one is as critical as we are to ourselves!!!!

Thank you all for you kind compliments! I had fun making this, it was pretty easy. It was the first time I had put a binding on anything, that was fun. lol. Mom loved it, I kept asking "are you SURE you don't want me to take it back home to hang on my wall" haha, I wouldn't do that, by the way. She was thrilled.
