My haul from first 1/2 of my shop hop

Ok, finally got photos downloaded of the splurge from the first half of my first shop hop. Boy, those narcotic fumes permeated in the fabrics in those shops did their magic-I was totally seduced into buying! LOL. I really got caught up in the moment, but enjoyed every minute. I still have another 7 shops to hit tomorrow and Sat-think I had better leave the credit card home!! I am on a fabric starvation diet for the next 6 months!! But, I got my McKenna Ryan patterns I REALLY wanted! Plus, some of the fabric are for the purses I have been asked to make with a beach theme for a resort in Vanuatu, so I will get some money back!

Wow great haul, sounds like you had a blast. Plus you have a return on your money when the purses are made.

Yes, that is my "justification" for spending, but really, the bulk of what I got has nothing to do with those purses!! But, it is my reward for making them! I already bought most of the fabric for the resort's totes, the rest of the fabrics I have purchased during the past few months are for other bags/totes I want to sell at a craft fair, when I find one! Then, hopefully, I will recover the money I spent, and have some extra. I will also be having another fabric sale on this board in the next week to thin out my stash of fabrics I don't think I will use now.

I could not have left those beautiful fabrics, either. Love the turtles and green "turtle shell" especially!

Yep-my favorite, too. I am just starting another tote for the resort with them. I'll post a pic when I'm done.

Well, I am sticking to the excuse that it was the narcotic fumes they put in the fabric to seduce customers into buying!!LOL That, and I went with my sister and niece (both more beginners), and they were a bad influence--or wait, maybe it is the opposite-I bought lots more than they did!! SHHHHH-don't tell!! It didn't seem like that much until I got home, got it all out, and added up the receipts!!

Yep, a few purses/totes in there!! The turtle and seashore fabs are for totes that will be sold to the resort-so I will make back the money I spent on that splurge! They haven't indicated how many exactly they want, but I imagine they will take 8 or so, if I can get them done in time before I leave next month. They loved the first two, so that is a positive sign!!

The turtle fabric was only 1/3 yard and a remnant, and the info isn't on the selvedge - the green is called Sea Anemone for Red Rooster Fabrics. I actually got them from two different shops, and they look like they go together, so I don't know about the turtles. I also had 3 other fabrics in my stash that go really well with it, I only wish now I had more. I will look for it again and see if I can pick up another yard. Would love to make a few different styles of bags with that.
