Is it my machine or my walking foot?

Sharon B, That does make sense. I have not made a rag quilt before and the directions said to backstitch at the ends of the lines. Talking about the lines in the X in the little squares that hold the batting and both sides together. Thanks, Debbie

Ok Sharon that's what I'll do. Another question...how do you do a border on a rag quilt? Debbie

I used my walking foot so much that I wore out the spring mechanism that makes do the "walk"
My dealer said the spring is gets worn out----no "spring" left in the spring.
So I purchased a new one and everything works just fine now.
