My new binding dispenser (inspired by firefighters)
#12
[QUOTE=EasyPeezy;6133620]This all started when DH and I were watching a video of a fire. DH was commenting how
the firefighters had their hose rolled when it should have been folded. He even gave me5
a demo how it's more efficient to fold the hose, etc. That evening I was putting my binding
on and thought...why don't I try to fold my binding like the firefighters and see. Well, it worked
so well I told DH about it and he said he could make me a tool to hold my binding. So here it is.
I glued a piece of felt at the bottom just because. Hope some of you try this method and
let me know what you think. No more rolling for me.
What a brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks. The difference between folding and rolling is that when you roll you always
have to yank it as it gets stuck sometimes. When you fold it just unfolds smoothly
without pulling. I just finished putting my binding and I'm very happy how it unfolded
without any snag.
To the poster who asked about the napkin holder...it will probably work if the width
is same as your binding. Try it and let us know.

I fold like this then put all in a sandwich sized Ziploc bag with just a small amount of the zipper open. I drop it on the floor and unfold my binding as I sew. Keeps everything in place and works great. Your DH is very wise
