    My new design wall

My son-in-law built me a new design wall. Isn't it great? Kaffe Fassett flannel, insulation, and trim. I am a very happy quilter. Name: 20180610_102051.jpg

What a great idea to have a grid. No hanging up a bunch of blocks only to find out you set the first one on an angle.

The grid is something I hadn't thought of, but makes so much sense. Great idea!
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

The grid idea is terrific, I am wondering if it is the foam type of insulation? How big is it please? We have just bought a tiny house, doing some renovations and then I will have a dedicated sewing room. Whoopee. I will need a design wall.

yes. He started with a 4 x 8 piece of foam insulation. I had 2.5 yards of the flannel. He trimmed the width of the insulation to fit the width of the flannel I had.
