Default My New Quilting Studio...Finished

And, it's a mess already!

Centre island is made out of Ikea storage shelving, with most cubbys filled with drawers but some with bins or just magazine holders, large ironing surface is a board that was shaped and padded and covered then glued to the top of a dresser, sewing machine is fitted flush into the surface and then there is a long run of countertop to the left. My scrap stash is a mess in the shelving unit in plastic bins from the dollar store and my design wall is 2 flannel backed tablecloths, also from the dollar store.
The light over the cutting table is actually meant for a shop, so it's a little bright, but you're safe so long as you don't look directly at it.
My long arm has oodles of room in the basement. I haven't managed to get all the long arm supplies put away yet, but I am working on shelving for those. For now it's all in boxes and bins along the wall.
Creative people don't make messes. They just have ideas lying around everywhere.

Oh I like your being able to go around the cutting table. That is nice. Good for you!

Looking great! It will look even better when you get everything sorted out and placed to your satisfaction in both areas! Progress!

Looking good! Will give you a nice place to "zone out" if you know what I mean?

Looking good!
I never realized how useful Ikea can be until I got several pieces for my sewing room. They are a game changer for me.

Looks great! It is really nice to have a window to look out when you are long arming.
