Default my new winter sport wall hanging/ runner

I am still tryiing things different. I like applique so like my last one on skiing, I dug out this winter sport material and put it together. I still have to pad it and sew on the back. Thinking of having it as a wall hanging. I have discovered that when using
seam a Steam for fusible for applique that I use a damp cloth for ironing it and if there is any residue it goes on the cloth. I mark the cloth so that I know what is front so the residue doesn't go on the next time I use it. I am sure all you experienced ones knew this anyway. The directions say to use a steam iron, but I find this easier.
