    It's a good idea to wash the fabric first and then true up the panel. Sometimes they are printed off-grain to begin with.

    I've learned to do my own checking to verify that it's "right" enough to use.

    I too am learning about the "joys" of working with a panel. I Make sure now that the panel has a border that can be trimmed away to square the panel and then add my own borders. Hope that made sense.
