Congratulations on making the decision to unsew. Your situation is special since your niece designed her room around the colors in the quilt. And thanks to the quilter who will resew and hopefully her generosity will reflect well on other longarmers. I also hope you let the first quilter know so she can improve her skills before doing more work professionally. That was the best advice I received when starting out...don't quilt for others until someone objective and willing to be honest says you are ready. Can't wait to see the quilt.

I am so glad your quilting disaster is going to have a happy ending! I wish I lived near you, I'd come for the ripping-out party. I'd even bring my famous black brownies. And God bless Pungogal, and all the generous souls here on QB!

I'm glad you're going to rip it out - you'll be glad you did. And I totally understand, I would probably have to do the same thing!!! I do encourage you to at least let the shop know that this person isn't ready for prime time quilting. They risk their reputation and they don't want that.
Thank you for angels that step up to the plate!! And don't forget to show us the newly quilted quilt!!
