Default My Reverse Cathedral Windows~~ Needs ideas

I am open for suggestions on this project.
It has taken me a few years to get this together for quilting. Most of the fabrics are from Kansas Troubles and I added a few more. Other than the light fabric, it is made from scraps from other quilts and made just for me!! It is 108x36 and will sit on the foot of the bed.

The light fabrics are machine sewn, then I folded them back and hand sewed to create the windows. I am one of those who needs to keep my hands busy while watching the tube at night.

I have started pinning this thinking I wanted to put a medallion of some sort on the dark fabrics, not the light fabric.
I took a picture and starting looking at it. Fickle, because what should I really do????
    Quilt Light fabric?
    Quilt Dark Fabric?

Would love to hear from all of you.

I would go a whole 'nuther way. I would stitch in the ditch between the blocks, and then either tie the centers of the white portion, or make a small cross stitch in the center, tying off each one on the back, or put a small button there.

That's a great looking quilt, but sorry, no help with your question.

And I am on a different page than that I would stitch the triangles on the darks then stitch a medallion in the whites.

If I did the small buttons, I could do it by hand and keep my hands busy.

I thought about quilting all the lights and darks but I will be using my embroidery machine and counted all the rehoopings....
