Good for you! With my luck, I would have been two inches short.LOL Prayers for a successful surgery and fast healing.

Sure makes for a nice day when everything that is supposed to wor,actually does! Good idea on saving hand sewing for after surgery. Good luck with that.

Thanks everyone. Surgery is total hip replacement. Off work for at least 3 weeks, then, hopefully, back part time the next week.

God's blessings on your health and recovery - and your medical teams. I hope you have a marvelous rehab facility.
My dh has had his hip replacement 15 years now and has never had trouble with it except aches sometimes during weather changes. You might want to make some hot pads to gift staff with when you leave, especially if they watch you do handwork while you're there.

What an excellent idea!!!!! Thank you. I know I will be in hospital for 1-2 days, then across to rehab for another 2-3 days before they send me home. Methinks I had best have a bag full of them!!!
